How nice of Livejournal to track that for me. As though I didn’t have enough guilt that I don’t blog or anything, now it’s telling me it’s been 16 weeks? Ye gods!

I’ve joined twitter. I don’t know why, but I update it more often than here, but I still don’t get the point. Anyway, it’s here: twitter.com/ziggiethegreat . I wonder if livejournal will turn that into a link for me? Guess I’ll find out. EDIT: Turns out it didn’t. Here’s a hyperlinked one: Twitter!

I had a strange dream last night (note that last night I watched Ferris Bueller, ate potato chips, and had copious amounts of alcohol, so it may have contributed). I dreamt that I was in high school and my mom decided to embarrass my teacher. No big deal, but the next day when I went into class (moving terribly slow, couldn’t help it, I was in bed) the teacher decided to humiliate me. So he made fun of me, berated me, and even made me take my shirt off (though I don’t remember doing it). Then I got called to the principals office. I didn’t leave fast enough for this teacher, so he put a hand on me. To this point I hadn’t said a word, but when he touched me I screamed “Rape!!!” and sat up in bed. (it was all very sudden). I don’t understand the meaning of this dream, but it’s a dream at any rate.

I’m in the market for a new laptop. My wife dropped the last one she had and now the keyboard doesn’t work (and she shattered the PCMCIa slot so no wireless either). I’m hovering between buying something nice that will last a while (technology wise) or buying cheap and making it an internet kiosk. My wife wants pricey, my checkbook wants cheap. Le sigh.

It’s to the point where I can hardly afford to drive to work every day. But if I don’t go to work I can’t afford…well, anything. That’s a problem.

I almost got a new job, but then there was a hiring freeze. I was getting excited about it too.

I have tons of comic books to sell. Any takers?

I think I’m done now.

Wow…

Dear Santa…

Dear Santa,

This year I’ve been busy!

Last Thursday I invaded Iraq, broke it, and couldn’t glue it back together before Mom got home (-1012 points). Last Wednesday I gave change to a homeless guy (19 points). In November I caught a purse-snatcher who stole drewpdoane‘s purse (30 points). Last week I set onesweetchicken‘s puppy on fire (-66 points). In May I gave pyrusj a Dutch Oven (-10 points).

Overall, I’ve been naughty (-1039 points). For Christmas I deserve a spanking!

Sincerely,
ziggiethegreat

Wii!!!!

I got a Wii!!

When it first came out I wasn’t sure if I’d like it. But I got to play one at a friends house and fell in love with the thing. Of course, finances were always an issue.

Well, a few months back both I and the insurance company paid a doctor for surgery. The doctor office refunded the duplicate payment, and so now I had enough for the Wii!!

But now…I’ve been playing Wii Sports, and I bought Wii play cuz it was only a few dollars more than a 2nd controller. But….what game should I get? Any suggestions?

I had a question I was going to ask, but I think I’ll ask it in another post. Keep an eye out for it!!

Packers Won

Right, so if you didn’t know before, now you do: I am a Green Bay Packer fan. And we won. Against the Chargers. Despite everyone saying we wouldn’t.

Yay!

And yet, despite my joyousness at leading the division and being 3-0…I have to admit that I am both surprised by this (yes, surprised) and cautiously optimistic about the future.

Plus, being surrounded by Colt fans who are so convinced that they are going to repeat their Super Bowl win (despite the awesomeness of the Patriots this year, but I digress) and that they will go 16-0 (Colts I mean), I walk into every game (ha, on TV of course) expecting the worse.

Does that make me a bad fan?

Real updates coming soon-ish.

Really.

My car and other such nonsense

About a week ago or so I drove down to see my in-laws (my wife and son came with me, I didn’t just randomly go see my in-laws). Through the course of the day, my wife and MiL decide they’re going to go shopping.

In backing out of her driveway, my MiL backs into my car.

>crunch< Now, I’m all about family love and forgiveness and stuff, but there’s no way I can let this go (not that they asked, but I could see it in my wife’s eyes). So I’ve spent the past week cobbling together the cheapest parts from around town to save them a buck or two. I’m now a bit frustrated because they keep suggesting things like superglue and I keep suggesting things like driving lessons. Needless to say, this is seriously straining the in-law relationship. Anyways, a week later, some misordered parts and a worn out credit card later, I now have an assortment of plastic parts sitting in the trunk of my car that cost me 400 dollars. Yes. 400 dollars to get my turn signal fixed and my headlight mount fixed. Yeesh. I got my in-laws to pony up 360 dollars based on quotes, but there was one other piece that I didn’t realize needed to be replaced. So I bought that and they are about 40 dollars short overall. Should I swallow the 40 dollars or go after them for it? ~sigh~ Decisions Decisions. —————————————————- New baby is three months along and doing great. Checkup today was fine. Although if we’d waited another week we could have found out the sex of the baby. Grumble grumble grumble. Next checkup is in a month, guess we’ll find out then. —————————————————- Finished Harry Potter 7. Saw Harry Potter 5. No spoilers here for either one (though seriously, if I could spoil HP 5 for you, we need to talk). ————————————————— Child Ziggie (can’t call him Baby anymore) is going through a growth spurt. We are currently hitting one of these a week. At his current rate of growth he will be 6 foot tall by 2nd grade. Anyone have any Small boys clothes to share?
